Account and data deletion
What Happens When You Delete Your Account
When you request account deletion, your account enters a 14-day grace period. During this time:
- Your account is immediately deactivated and you are signed out.
- You have 14 days to change your mind by signing back into the app.
- After 14 days, all your data is permanently and irreversibly deleted.
What Gets Deleted
After the 14-day grace period, all of the following data is permanently removed:
- Your profile information (email, display name, avatar)
- All synced sentences and translations
- All folders and organization
- Practice progress, XP, streaks, and league data
- Teacher connections and shared content access
- Practice history and statistics
- Push notification registration
Export Your Data First
Before requesting deletion, we recommend exporting your data from the app: Settings > Account > Export My Data. This gives you a JSON file containing all your sentences, folders, and progress. Once your account is permanently deleted, this data cannot be recovered.
Confirm Account Deletion
You opened the link we emailed you. Press the button to schedule your account for deletion. It is deleted after 14 days; signing in to the app before then cancels it.
Deletion Scheduled
Your account will be permanently deleted on in 14 days. Sign in to the app before then to cancel.
Already Scheduled
This account is already scheduled for deletion. Sign in to the app within the 14 days to cancel.
This Link No Longer Works
Links work for one hour. Nothing was deleted or scheduled. Request a new link below.

Request Account Deletion
Enter the email address associated with your PhrasiGo account. If you don't have access to the app, you can request deletion here. Nothing is deleted or scheduled until you confirm that the address is yours.
Check Your Email
If an account uses this email, we've sent it a link. Open it within one hour and press Confirm deletion. Nothing is deleted or scheduled until you do.
No email after a few minutes? Check your spam folder, or write to contact@phrasigo.com from that address.
Email Us to Delete Your Account
Deletion by emailed link isn't available yet, so nothing has been sent or scheduled. Write to contact@phrasigo.com from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it.
We'll write back to that address to confirm it's you, then schedule the deletion. You'll still have 14 days to cancel by signing in to the app.

Delete via the App
If you have the app installed, you can also request deletion directly:
- Open the PhrasiGo app
- Go to the Settings tab (gear icon)
- Scroll to the Account section
- Tap Delete Account
- Review what will be deleted and tap Continue
- Re-authenticate with Google Sign-In
- Type DELETE to confirm
- Your account will enter a 14-day grace period before permanent deletion
Important Notes
- After the 14-day grace period, deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
- To cancel a pending deletion, simply sign back into the app within 14 days.
- All data is deleted from both your device and our servers after the grace period.
- If you have a teacher connection, your teacher will no longer see your progress.
- You can create a new account after deletion, but your previous data cannot be recovered.
