What Happens When You Delete Your Account

When you request account deletion, your account enters a 14-day grace period. During this time:

• Your account is immediately deactivated and you are signed out.
• You have 14 days to change your mind by signing back into the app.
• After 14 days, all your data is permanently and irreversibly deleted.

What Gets Deleted

After the 14-day grace period, all of the following data is permanently removed:

• Your profile information (email, display name, avatar)
• All synced sentences and translations
• All folders and organization
• Practice progress, XP, streaks, and league data
• Teacher connections and shared content access
• Practice history and statistics
• Push notification registration

Export Your Data First

Before requesting deletion, we recommend exporting your data from the app: Settings > Account > Export My Data. This gives you a JSON file containing all your sentences, folders, and progress. Once your account is permanently deleted, this data cannot be recovered.

Request Account Deletion

Enter the email address associated with your PhrasiGo account. If you don't have access to the app, you can request deletion here.

Delete via the App

If you have the app installed, you can also request deletion directly:

1. Open the PhrasiGo app
2. Go to the Settings tab (gear icon)
3. Scroll to the Account section
4. Tap Delete Account
5. Review what will be deleted and tap Continue
6. Re-authenticate with Google Sign-In
7. Type DELETE to confirm
8. Your account will enter a 14-day grace period before permanent deletion

Important Notes

• After the 14-day grace period, deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
• To cancel a pending deletion, simply sign back into the app within 14 days.
• All data is deleted from both your device and our servers after the grace period.
• If you have a teacher connection, your teacher will no longer see your progress.
• You can create a new account after deletion, but your previous data cannot be recovered.
